Oh yes, I would also suggest that for any of you prepared to file a complaint regarding SLS to add the Better Business bureau to your list. To help you get there faster, here is the url you'll need to start with:

http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/consumer-finance-and-loa...

In case this link disappears in the near future, here are the principals listed:

Mr. John Beggins - CEO
Ms. Ali Haralson - Senior Vice President
Ms. Susan Beck - Vice President Customer Support
Ms. Sherri DeShay - Manager
Ms. Jennie Thornton, Vice President, Customer Care
Ms. Jennifer Wright, Customer Service Supervisor

I was just introduced to loan servicing today. A friend of mine whose mortgage was sold didn't recieve any prior notice, but she called on a fluke and was given the news. Normally she pays by check, but this month she decided to pay by phone instead-- otherwise she still wouldn't know! She contacted the new company who initially claimed they couldn't find her payment. But for her persistence she'd be up to her ears in late fees right now!

For those of you unfamiliar with Loan Servicing Software, or how the nuts and bolts of your calls are managed by service centers, visit this web site for a quick introduction. Remember, this site is basically from the perspective of the debt collection agency--but is full of insight regarding how agencies view "customer" management.

Marix Servicing Corporation has recently (11/12/2009) sold the servicing rights to my mortgage to a group called Specialized Loan Servicing LLC (http://www.sls.net) out of 8742 Lucent Blvd, #300, Littelton, CO. 80129.
(720) 241-7385; (720) 241-7364; Fax: (720) 241-7218. There is also a reference for them under the DBA The Terwin Group. They appear to be in business only a short while, but are making quite a name for themselves--along the lines of Lucretia Borgia!;-)

I imagine that this group and I will immediately begin our relationship with friction, as I never did receive a "Hello Letter" (as they call it) announcing the takeover of the loan, or any correspondence from Marix announcing their disposal of the loan. By the time I found out about, the loan was already late by a day. Here is just a taste of what other "customers" had to say:

For those of you with a complaint, to levy against these folks, begin with documenting EVERY conversation in a notebook, including the time, the person you spoke with and the nature of the conversation.

To make things handy, here is the link to the Colorado Attorney General's Office:
http://www.coloradoattorneygeneral.gov/

Remember when writing a complaint to Colorado's Attorney General to Cc: a copy to your own state's Attorney General. By the way, for those of you interested in forming a class action suit against this group, your best bet for the federal courts will be in the 9th district. Generally speaking, California and the Pacific Northwest.

Those of you with first hand knowledge, please share your experiences and resolution history about this organization. I for one, am very interested in hearing your story!
